The Heron

The Heron is in downtown Narrowsburg along the Delaware River with a fabulous view. Dine in, or take out.

The Heron’s hours have changed dramatically since COVID rolled around and somehow brought a lack of staff availability. Stay tuned and we’ll update as soon as they go back to regular hours. The hours listed here are correct.

Culinary Institute grad, Chef Paul Nanni, and partner Marla Puccetti bring distinction to your favorite American comfort foods, with a focus on fresh regionally-sourced ingredients. Situated along the winding Delaware, this cheery spot also offers house crafted cocktails and desserts. Voted “The Best in the Region”.

Their goal: to provide the region with great food and a comfortable atmosphere where everyone is welcome.

Bar snacks include deviled eggs, shrimp cocktail, and a cheeseburger. Entress incude Classic Heron mac & cheese, buttermilk fried chicken, and Steak Frites. Salads include a beet salad, a spinach salad, and a chopped salad. They’ve also got a list of sandwiches that ranges from a classic reuben to a seafood burger. Be aware that dishes change fairly often!

The menu proudly features local farms & resources including The Ant Hill Farm, Quails R Us, Silver Heights Farm, Tonjes Farm, 2 Cousins Fish, Augusta Acres Farm, Calkins Creamery, Beach Lake Bakery, and Java Love Coffee.

“This place is soooooo good. It’s expensive, so prepare yourself, but worth it. We had the caramelized onion mac and cheese and it was delicious. Buttermilk fried chicken with potatoes and gravy was as good as it gets. Salad was crisp and fresh. Would highly recommend coming again and sitting on the outside deck. Don’t forget to make a reservation.”
