The Junction is a casual cocktail bar and restaurant serving seasonal American dishes, and “The best thing to happen to Roscoe since trout.” Its’ got a sort of fishing vibe and small well-conceived menu. We’ve listed the restaurant type as “New American” because while it’s simple, the food is very well prepared. Dinner is served from 5 thru 9:30 pm.
Start with the smoked trout spread (you’re in Roscoe, Trout Town USA) and try a fried chicken sandwich or a Junction burger. Lots of specials pop up, like Steak Frites.
“Couldn’t recommend this place enough. The food is phenomenal, and the original cocktails hit it right out of the park (great selection of local beers too). The owners will greet you with a smile and make you feel like family. It’s the perfect place to unwind and make you feel right at home in the Catskills. 10 stars!”
“The menu is truly tiny: three bar snacks, three starters, three mains, plus burgers. The options range from indulgent (fried chicken sandwich) to sensible (Kale Caesar and a Grain Bowl), with some real surprises such as Beef Tartare. My husband and I shared the Smoked Trout Spread as an appetizer. I wanted to lick the bowl. We shared the grain bowl and chicken sandwich, and we agreed that both were the best examples we’ve had of either one. The cocktail menu looks awesome, but I stuck with a yummy Pinot Noir. The bar is lively, and I’m definitely having a cocktail next time. I could also see stopping here and hanging out after fly fishing.”
