Kick-start your vacation with some peace and quiet. If you’re going on a family vacation, this is one of the best places to visit. The “Niagara of Pennsylvania,” Bushkill Falls is among the Keystone State’s most famous scenic attractions. The private Bushwick Falls trails connect to a series of eight waterfalls, and is accessible through an excellent network of hiking trails and bridges that afford fabulous views of the falls and the surrounding forest.
Bushkill Falls also offers a wide range of activities such as paddle boats, gem mining, a fun maze, and fishing – making it an awesome way to spend the day with nature. It’s within 2 hours of Manhattan or Philadelphia so that you can make a day trip of it if you’d like – but the DWGNRA is so delicious it deserves more than a day. There is a handful of campgrounds and budget motels within 15 miles. You’ll find a grand 1911 golf resort in Shawnee-on-Delaware (10 miles) and a 5-star hotel in charming downtown Milford (20 miles).
