Pocono Whitewater offers a variety of whitewater trips. The most popular of these is the “Family-Style” whitewater rafting tour: a guided, 3-4 hour, 8-mile trip on a section of the Lehigh River that’s good for everyone, including beginners and kids.
Trips include all necessary rafting equipment, life jackets, free parking, changing rooms, and shuttle service. Most rafting excursions also include a free BBQ lunch. If lunch is not provided, rafters may purchase subs, snacks, and drinks from their Broken Paddle Bar and Grill.
During “Moonlight Rafting,” travel down 8 miles of the river on a raft lit up by glow sticks, then enjoy a glass of wine and snacks under the stars. The “Battles and Paddles Adventure” combines whitewater rafting and a paintball war. Or go all the way with the “Big Day Out” – in addition to some of the best whitewater rafting in PA, it includes hiking and paddling for a full day of fun. Take the whole family on the “Pocono Pirate Rafting” adventure and meet up with a pirate crew.
“I actually think Covid taught a lot of people in Northeastern PA and a lot of the nearby cities that they need the outdoors. And throughout those two years, especially, people came out to the Poconos and NEPA and they rediscovered just how many cool things you can do here. And now I think we’re going to continue to see that. People are looking for that balance in their lives. They realized that they need to be outside spending time in nature.”– Sierra Fogel, Owner
Pocono Whitewater Rafting owns Pocono Biking, where you can explore over 138 miles of Jim Thorpe’s scenic, easy downhill excursions. They also own Skirmish Paintball with more than 50 paintball maps over 750 acres.
