Camp Westmont is a 40-year family-owned and operated camp on 400-acres of gently rolling hills with a 100-acre private lake. Co-ed with a boy’s side and a girl’s side for campers aged 6 through 16.
Westmont is a co-ed camp with two very distinct campuses – boys on Boys Side and girls on Girls Side. We have the map address as Lakeville, which is 5 miles from Poyntelle, but that’s how Google does it.
Westmont offers a full circus program with trapeze and silks, a skate park, a high ropes course, a zipline/climbing tower, archery, go-carts and horseback riding.
Each day ends with a campus-wide General Swim where campers go to the lake or the Olympic-size pool.
The goal at Camp Westmont is to keep campers engaged with a wide array of activities and fabulous facilities. They do, however, understand the need to sometimes expose campers to the exciting cultural activities and entertainment destinations that surround them.
Throughout the summer, campers can take a canoe trip down the Delaware River, spend the day at Dorney Park, Great Wolf Lodge, or the Cooperstown/Baseball Hall of Fame, and celebrate the Fourth of July with a fireworks extravaganza at the Binghamton Mets game. amiddle camp takes an overnight trip to Hershey Park or Boston, and the oldest campers travel to either Montreal/Toronto or Virginia Beach.
They have eight RNs, a nurse practitioner, and either an ER doctor or a pediatrician on site at all times,
Camp Westmont also has a full gym with fitness classes for our older campers.
It’s actually located in the tiny village of Poyntelle in the lake region just 5 miles from Lakewood.
“One of the nicest of the many sleep away camps in the area. Beautiful grounds, neat clean bunk houses, happy kids, great counselors! Lots of fun activities and outings. First rate all the way.”
