Camp Chen-A-Wanda

Camp Chen-A-Wanda was established in 1939 and has served thousands and thousands of campers over the past 80 + years. Camp population is made up of boys and girls ages 7 – 16 years old.

Camp Chen-A-Wanda pride runs deep and strong. The daily schedule goes from Reveille at 8:00 am and ends with a campfire at 9:00 pm.

There’s state of the art fitness center. Being at camp all summer long, campers stay fit with tons of sports and activities.. The mere layout of our camp provides tons of walking but if our campers desire more of a traditional workout, they’re covered. The air-conditioned facility is fully loaded with all the bells and whistles including a new spin room that will bring a workout to a whole new level.

The beautiful campus spans over 180 acres in the hills of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Campers participate in every land sport and activity imaginable. Additionally, Chen-A-Wanda sits on pristine, temperate Fiddle Lake. The safe waterfront is staffed by certified lifeguards and offers our campers a diverse array of water sports and activities.

Who doesn’t want to be a Rock Star? There’s a state of the art recording studio to lay down a demo. If you have never picked up a guitar or played the keyboards, learn at the School of Rock. Maybe it’s a drum circle at the campfire or jamming out in the new band you joined but the music instruction will get your camper started or continue their journey through music.

The staff is made up of energetic, enthusiastic educators and coaches, with the majority of them having been with Chen-A-Wanda for years and years. As a result, campers come to rely on some of the best childcare workers in the industry, and the same smiling faces summer after summer.
