The Y on Broadway and Spa

Originally opened in 1894 as the YMCA of Mauch Chunk, the Y on Broadway Hotel & Spa has meticulously preserved the historical architecture and design influenced by classical revival elements, pedimented windows and doorways, and the iconic columned balcony. The four front pillars which were once a part of the first courthouse in the town of Mauch Chunk (est. in 1818), now known as Jim Thorpe (1954), still adorn the front of this stately masterpiece.

The interior has been well planned for you to see and feel – experience for yourself – hoping to offer something for everyone’s individual taste. As you walk the halls of the newest hotel in town, you will be transported back in time through the many historical pictures taken throughout the past 100+ years documenting the transformation of the local area. “The Y on Broadway offers everything you could possibly want for a stay in Jim Thorpe. Our room was beautifully appointed and immaculately clean, the staff was friendly and attentive, and it was hard to beat the gorgeous view of downtown Jim Thorpe right outside of our window. The included on-site parking was a major perk, as parking is very limited in town. Perhaps best of all was the location — centrally positioned in the heart of downtown Jim Thorpe, it was a breeze to walk anywhere we wanted during our stay. We hope to be able to return for another stay sometime soon!
