The most popular beach on the shores of Lake Wallenpaupack is Palmyra Township Public Beach. This beach is home to numerous picnic spaces and pretty waterfront views, and it’s the perfect family-friendly destination. Beachgoers can swim in this lake’s tranquil waters from the park’s access points while enjoying the sun on its sandy shores.
Palmyra Township Public Beach is the only public beach on Lake Wallenpaupack. It’s also the only place on the entire lake where swimming is allowed.
Lifeguards on duty, snack bar, volleyball, picnic tables, charcoal grills, and bathroom/changing facilities. Located approximately 1/2 mile from the intersection of Routes 507 and 6 heading west, between the Lake Wallenpaupack visitor’s center and Wilsonville Campground.
Located just off Route 6 next to the Lake Wallenpaupack Visitor’s Center. Admission to the beach is only $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children 12 and under. Seniors and infants are admitted free.
The beach is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. It’s open only on the weekends from Memorial Day through the middle of June, then 7 days a week until the end of the season. Hours are 11 am to 5 pm, weather permitting.
