“Shohola “ is a word from Lenni Lanape tribe of Native Americans. It means “place of peace“. It is solitude and sounds of nature. It’s quality time with friends and family. Whatever you are missing and looking for, you can find at Shohola Cottage.

Cuddle up with a blanket and hot drink and watch the fireplace. Choose one of many trails for hiking through the woods to mountain tops and waterfalls. Go skiing or experience archery. Visit nearby farms and unique antique shops. Try local restaurants or pick a bottle of wine for the evening barbecue.

The spacious wrap around porch itself is worth a trip with beautiful views of the forest.

“We enjoyed staying in Olga’s beautiful chalet. It was comfortable and clean with gorgeous views from the deck of the surrounding woods. We took drives to area lakes and along the Delaware River where we did see a Bald Eagle. Lots of good restaurants a short drive away, but mostly we enjoyed relaxing. For myself, reading in her beautiful home. Would love to go back.”
