Catskills Coffee Lodge is an absolutely darling coffee shop on the banks of the historic Willowemoc Creek in Roscoe. They offer a variety of hot and cold coffees, teas, and espresso drinks.
The Lodge kitchen offers a simple but exciting menu of sandwiches and seasonal specials. They have a variety of house made pastry items. Desserts include Lemon Bars, a
rich lemony curd with a shortbread crust. Try a cookie – they’ve got Catskills chocolate chunk, a Snickerdoodle, and yummy S’mores.
Owners Jeannine and Jessica England have been cooking and entertaining for as long as they can remember. During college years and beyond both sisters worked in different parts of the hospitality industry, falling in love with the fast-paced environment and creativity of the work. They decided to pursue this line of work professionally and began studying at The Culinary Institute of America, both graduating in 2016.
Users who post all say this place is “a gem” and has “great coffee.” Beautiful view of the creek.
They’ve got their own retail shop that carries New York producers of small batch goods. Their own handmade habanero pepper jelly is a hit.
“This place has *damn* good coffee. The food looked delicious and if I hadn’t just eaten I’d have bought out the pastry case. Next time I go back I’m ordering so much coffee I’m going to leave my car there and marathon-run back home to Queens.
This is what I wish every coffee place was. A welcoming place with welcoming people, a beautiful and serene atmosphere that makes you torn between sitting inside or staying out, coffee that makes you want another two cups even if you’re three past your limit, and pastries that make you forget you’re not hungry.”
“I’ll be back very, very soon. We stopped in to Catskills Coffee Lodge this morning for a quick bite and some coffee. This beautiful place sits right on the river and the outside tables made the experience truly special. Inside was decorated beautifully with lots of windows to view the water rushing by outside. We had a latte and a cold brew with the best gluten free almond cookies we’ve ever tasted!! If you are anywhere near Roscoe NY you must stop here! Can’t wait till next time we’re through here to get coffee and those delicious cookies! Wish we had more time to taste other items on the menu. Next time…”
