Pecks Pond

- Dingmans Ferry 18328
Pecks Pond is located in the Delaware State Forest. Approximately 315 acres with 564 acres of adjoining wetlands, Pecks Pond is one of the largest glacial bogs in the state.
It’s got abundant pickerel, largemouth bass, and panfish. There are 2 boat docks available on the lake.
To the ardent boater and recreational waterways enthusiast, Pecks Pond might not be the best place to play, but to a duck, fish, or naturalist with a small kayak, it’s an aquatic heaven. This lake is, on average, around three feet deep and perfect for watercraft like kayaks or canoes.
Pecks Pond Picnic Area in Pike County is located along the south shore of Pecks Pond approximately ½ mile east of S.R. 402 off Brewster Road. Potable water, charcoal grills and several picnic tables are the amenities offered. There is NO picnic shelter at this picnic area. A boat launch permits access to fishing and boating in Peck’s Pond.
Pickerel Inn General Store is a gas station, convenience store, bait shop, and deli in one, and it’s located just few miles away.
“I have been going to Pecks Pond for years. It seems like the other two reviews were written by people who can’t deal with mother nature and what she has to offer. Yeah, the pond is a little overgrown, only around the banks. But what this creates is a whole other habitat for fish, frogs and other little creatures. In the morning, when the sun is just starting to come up, launch your boat and head to the northern point of the pond. There you will find large mouth bass, pickerel, and not through my experiences but from a reliable source you will be able to find muskie. The pond has a lot to offer. Otters make pecks pond their home and have been seen from time to time.”
