Monroe Farmers Market is the place to get your morning coffee and a bite to eat right at the market and start shopping.
It’s a producer-only market selling quality produce, plants, flowers, eggs, dairy products, raw natural honey, freshly baked bread, pastries, jams, jellies, syrups, hand-roasted gourmet coffee, homemade pasta, sauces, fine wines, handmade soaps, candles, and more. There is also a selection of fresh pasture-raised pork, chicken, duck, eggs, and lamb.
Look out for sourdough bread from Apple Ridge Farms, mushrooms, meat, and eggs from Four Fields Farm, and maple syrup from Dutch Hill Preserves. Shop your favorite local vendors like Four Fields, Apple Ridge, Untamed Ferments, Ruby’s Hot Sauce, Cranberry Creek, K&G Produce, Mountain Ridge Farm, and Patrick Makes Pasta, Bandit Bones, ESTROG, Silverback Distillery, and Farmhouse Flowers.
In the summertime, Monroe Farmers Market takes place in Courthouse Square in downtown Stroudsburg every Saturday from 8:00 am ’til noon, May through November, rain or shine.
From November to the end of March the market moves indoors, Saturday 9 am to noon, to the United Methodist Church at 547 Main Street.
“The sweetest little spot to spend a sweet Saturday morning. It is so nice to be a part of a community of people who believe in local organically grown produce, supporting small and local businesses, buying from local shops. There is usually live music which just ties together the entire market, and there’s an organic dog treat stand if you happen to bring your dog.”
