Stone Bar Inn first opened in Stroudsburg in 1936 and today retains the original rustic feel of the place with its river stone bar and fireplaces. White tablecloths and linen napkins play nicely off the warm wood paneling and booths and tables of this old-fashioned country inn. Today it has chef and owner Andrew Moore’s name appended to the title.
Entrees include smoked trout, crab-stuffed mushrooms, and escargot. Rib-eye, filet mignon, and sirloin steaks are served from the meat side of the entrees menu, along with a 12 oz Kuruboto pork chop, and roasted rack of lamb. Seafood and fish entrees consist of grouper, crab cakes, salmon, and Mahi-Mahi. Wednesday is pasta night, and appetizers are 1/2 price during the daily happy hour from 4 – 5 pm. Live music on Friday from 7 – 10 pm.
