Cherry Creek Loop Trail is a part of Minisink Park in Delaware Water Gap. It passes over and under busy Route 80. The trail is cool, shady, and dense with trees offering rich habitat for wildlife.
The 2.6-mile loop includes concrete stepping stones that take you across Cherry Creek. The loop is within a 28.5-acre park.
The trail is easily accessible with smooth gravel pathways. Cross the stepping stones over Cherry Creek and climb to the overlook for a view of the town. Along the way, you’ll spot gorgeous wildflowers and native birds.
Facilities include a playground, covered picnic tables, portable toilets, well-maintained gravel walking trails, soccer fields, information kiosks, and benches along the trails.
No motorized vehicles are allowed on the trails. Leashed dogs are welcome; owners must pick up and carry out waste.
“Small and nice trail. Look out for the start of the trail behind the building storing salt. There will be a small sign for “Trail”. Don’t miss crossing the river on the stones and walking across the rail crossing. Great day hike for a few hours.”
