Big Chicken

Big Chicken, the fast casual chicken concept founded by basketball Hall of Fame’s Shaquille O’Neal, has opened in Tannersville’s Pocono Premium Outlets.

Throwbacks to O’Neal’s home-cooked childhood favorites sstr matched with current trending flavors. Think crispy chicken sandwiches tossed in various spices and sauces before being topped with such items as cheese, lettuce, mayo and pickles.

There’s such things as the “The Ultimate Biggest & Sloppiest Yet,” which is a premium chicken patty topped with mac and cheese, crispy fried onions and roasted garlic bbq aioli; the “Shaq Attack,” which is a premium chicken patty topped with pepper jack cheese, jalapeño slaw and spicy chipotle bbq sauce; and the “Buffalo,” which is a premium chicken patty tossed in buffalo hot sauce and topped with melted blue cheese, mayo and ranch slaw.

There’s also chicken tenders, sliders and “popcorn” chicken, paired with a variety of dipping sauces. Sides include creamy mac and cheese; barbecue potato chips; thin-cut steak fries; sweet potato waffle fries; and jalapeño slaw.

It all gets washed down with a variety of soft drinks or freshly-made milkshakes, crafted from all-natural southern vanilla ice cream. Some locations also offer catering platters, with the tagline: “Platters large enough to feed your whole team or one Shaq!”
