Since 1921, Camp Wayne, a family-owned “brother-sister” camp, has been a place where friendships and memories extend long past summer. The Wayne Experience is about learning, developing relationships, building confidence and, most of all, having fun.
After an action-packed day, evening activities at Wayne are the perfect time for campers to enjoy campfires, movies, overnight campouts, counselor hunts, talent shows, Rock Star night, and many other original Camp Wayne games. These activities are typically not sport-focused and create opportunities for campers to bring out their creative and silly side.
Social activities with Camp Wayne for Girls are an important part of evenings as well. The boys look forward to co-ed shows, discos, Halloween Night, performances from hypnotists and magicians as well as lots of other camp favorites. Younger campers participate in co-ed activities on a weekly basis while older campers have a more extensive social schedule with Camp Wayne for Girls.
For campers who have completed the sixth grade and up, Sports Specialty Camps are like a camp within a camp. These optional, four-day programs give older campers the opportunity to set personal goals and reach the next level of play. Each day includes several hours of instruction and competition. Special guest instructors/speakers frequently visit camp to further enhance the program.
Sports Specialty Camps are offered in Basketball, Baseball, Golf, Hockey (Includes One Day of Ice Hockey) Lacrosse, Soccer, and Tennis.
Note: It’s actually in Preston Park, and Lake Como is 5 minutes away.
