This four-season Poconos resort has once again won the top prize, as USA Today has named it the “Best Family Resort” in the country for 2023. It’s also been named #6 in the world by Trip Advisor’s Traveler’s Choice. Woodloch has been owned and operated with pride by the Kiesendahl family since 1958.
Woodloch’s spring-fed four-season Lake Teedyuskung offers boating, water skiing, swimming, water sliding, and lounging in the summer, and skating and Olympics during the winter months. The resort sits alongside the 79-acre reservoir Lake Teedyuskung, parts of which freeze into a natural skating surface when the weather permits. The resort offers skate, stick and puck, and training equipment rentals for those staying at the resort, though guests are welcome to bring their own equipment. The Woodloch Resort also features a 9,000 square feet of synthetic ice for guests to enjoy.
Everything you’ll want to do can be done right where you’re hunkering down. Hidden away in the woods of the Pocono Mountains, The Lodge at Woodloch feels worlds away from New York City – even though it’s just a short two-hour drive. And you come here for one reason: to recharge your body and mind in a tranquil, supportive setting.
Each vacation includes over 30 scheduled activities daily, numerous amenities, and nightly entertainment. American Plan packages include meals. Guests select a plan with two or three meals daily.
Woodloch Pines features 160 guest rooms in four different room categories with most rooms accommodating up to six people. There are two styles of rooms at the main lodge, both rustic and modern. Deluxe Lakeview units are hotel-style units in the Greenbriar or Mountain Laurel buildings.
Classic Standard rooms in the Timberline and Gateway are motel-style units near the Woodloch Pines main lodge. Woodloch also has four Lake Estate Homes, eight Southwoods Homes, and four Tallwoods Homes. These are houses for rent and are located on the main property, close to the lodge.
There are always specials on offer, so be sure to have a look before you book.
You can also take advantage of all the resort amenities when you rent a house or villa at Woodloch Springs , located 2 miles from the main lodge and adjacent to the course that Golf Digest has named as one of their “Best Places to Play” with a 4.5 (out of 5) star rating for the last 26 years.
The number of activities on offer is almost dizzying. Archery, bumper cars, go-carts, water skiing, bumper boats, tennis courts, a 4-season ice rink, miniature golf, snow tubing, fishing and more, in addition to the 30 activities scheduled daily. There are too many to list here, so mosey on over to the Woodloch Resort amenities/activities page.
The Indoor Splash Zone at Woodloch invites you to their “double corkscrew” super slide. You can hang out under the “Superdome” water tower as 300 gallons of water surprise you every few minutes. There is a zero percent chance of you staying dry inside the splash zone- but landlubbers can safely observe from behind glass windows and the observation deck.
Be sure to visit Woodloch’s four-star luxury destination spa resort, The Lodge at Woodloch.
