The Hawks Nest

The Hawks Nest squeezes up to 6 guests in a contemporary 1155-square-foot cabin perched above The Delaware River. It’s just 2 minutes past the iconic Hawks Nest Highway. We just adore this place. The optimal amount of guests is 2 to 4 (a sleeper sofa is always an option for lucky numbers 5 and 6).

It’s got breathtaking views from the 20+ windows, a hot tub, a fire pit, river access, and comfy living space, this charming cabin is the perfect private getaway for a couple or group of friends.

A short dirt road will lead you to this natural knotty pine Catskill haven. The home is furnished with 2 queen beds and a full-size sleeper sofa, all within an open-concept loft. A workstation/reading nook and Smart TV are located in the loft as well.

The 50″ HDTV has HBO Max, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and Apple TV. There’s central air conditioning, a wood-burning fireplace, heating, board games, and sound system with Bluetooth.

Need groceries? Click on Barryville on the Essentials tab and shop at Barryville General, a fabulous little deli/market just 10 minutes (really) away. You can also click on Glen Spey for Pete’s Country Store with wine, beer, a deli, and gas station, just 3 miles away.

“Wow!!!! What an incredible stay, could not recommend a visit to Maxwell’s cabin more. My husband and I stayed for five days here to get a little rest, and I truly felt like I was at a scenic retreat. The cabin was beautiful, overlooking the gorgeous Mountain View and Delaware River. Having coffee out on the porch every morning was a real treat. The inside was amazing too- perfectly clean, with a well stocked kitchen and smart TV. This was the perfect spot to get away from it all for the week. Maxwell is also a wonderful host- he provided us with a lot of help getting to the cabin, and recommendations for the area. Definitely want to come back sometime soon!”
