The Record Room hosts 7 guests in this cabin down a private gravel road in the forest along a small creek. It’s an off-grid eco-friendly cabin made entirely from timber that came directly from the place it sits on, and recycled lumber from various Broadway shows.
It’s a fantastic space in a very relaxing environment. Great collection of LPs – that’s why it’s called The Record Room.
There’s a pit toilet and potable water is available.
Our weekend at The Record Room was nothing short of an enchanting escape into the wild. Nestled deep in the woods on the private property of the talented woodworker Dennis, this off-grid sanctuary is a world apart. The wood-burning hot tub, a marvel crafted from scratch, and the cozy wood cabin are adorned with Dennis’s intricate carvings, each piece telling its own story. A short drive or hike revealed a stunning waterfall that felt like a hidden paradise. When we weren’t diving into the eclectic record collection, we were immersed in the symphony of nature’s sounds—a soothing soundtrack that made the modern world feel a million miles away.
Adding to the adventure, you’re just 15 minutes from a rafting experience on the Delaware River. Cross the bridge into Pennsylvania, and you can enjoy the best screwdrivers with fresh-squeezed orange juice, a refreshing treat that perfectly complements the rustic charm of the area. This is a truly off-grid experience. There’s no service, no distractions—just the raw, unfiltered beauty of the world. Devices are only needed to capture the magic of this place, the moments that are too fleeting to hold onto but too beautiful to forget. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect retreat. Dennis and his family really put their hearts into the record room. It’s a place that demands a return with friends. 10 out of 10 stars.”
