Cable’s General Store

Cable’s General Store has been a staple in Union Dale since 1910. Duffy and Krysta Samuels moved back to the area to raise their family and took over Cable’s in 2020. It’s a nice little deli with good food and a friendly staff. They serve strong coffee, great sandwiches and salads, and an array of yummy homemade baked goods.

Cable’s offers plenty of homemade grab-and-go options. For breakfast, they have bagels, quiche, toasts, and breakfast sandwiches. Lunchtime choices include soups, salads, sandwiches, and pizzas. And don’t forget to grab a coffee and a fresh-baked dessert like pies, cakes, pastries, and more. Pretty good food.

The store sits next to the D&H Rail Trail head where bikers, hikers and outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy the river in the backyard. Relax out back on the Adirondack chairs. They continue the tradition of Cables General Store by providing homemade foods, provisions and take-away foods.
