The Outlier Inn is a bucolic 12-acre farm in NY’s southern Catskill mountains, 90 miles from NYC. It offers a peaceful, inspiring break from life in the Big City. Sheep, goats, alpacas, and chickens are accessible to guests as well as the Barn Shop, which sells local goods and produce.

If you want to relax in a rural environment and experience a food-based, makers community then this is the place for you.

There is access to a communal outdoor fire pits (wood is available for purchase), a 6-burner outdoor stove and grill, a hot double outdoor shower, and an outhouse.

The town of Mountain Dale is 2 miles from the Inn and you can purchase groceries, wine, and sundry items there. Their own eggs and vegetables are available for purchase in the Barn Shop along with other local items and wares.

The property has multiple dwellings and many shared spaces. They often host yoga retreats and have musicians recording in our full music studio. Please ask if you would like to know what is happening during your stay.

The Outlier Inn is located 86 miles from New York City and is easily accessible by car, bus and train.

“This was our third year at the Outlier Inn with our two kids and small dog. It was lovely to stay in the newly renovated cottage–a pleasure to cook in the gorgeous kitchen!
