Varden Conservation Area is a Pennsylvania State Park in Wayne County, managed by Promised Land State Park in Pike County. VCA’s three miles of trails cross forests, wetlands, and the old farm that once occupied a part of the 420 acres of land.
Varden is a wildlife paradise, with a multitude of wild animals, including bear and wild turkey. The pond in the Tannery Tract is a warm-water fishery for bass, sunfish, and catfish; Middle Creek provides trout fishing. Pennsylvania fishing laws apply, so contact the park to plan your fishing trip.
