The Dimmick Townhouse

The Dimmick House comfortably fits up to 8 adults but is not recommended for small children. Step back in time in an immersive Victorian experience. This historic Dimmick House, built by Congressman Milo Dimmick in 1871, has been authentically & lovingly restored & is equipped with all modern amenities. It’s an Airbnb ‘Guest Favorite’, which means its one of the most loved stays on the site, according to guests. It was also voted in the ‘Top 1% of Homes. Charles and Michelle are your Superhosts.

Guests call it a “true Victorian work of art”, as well as an amazing place to stay. There’s a gas fireplace, a grand piano, and a spacious sitting parlor. The 50″ Smart TV has Hulu, Netflix, Prime Video, and Direct TV in 3rd floor media room.

Two private off-street parking spaces are located at the rear of the house. Situated in the heart of the historic district, The Dimmick House is steps away from The Mauch Chunk Opera House and all of the shops and restaurants of Jim Thorpe.

“The home was truly exactly like the photos and one of the most unique Airbnb’s I’ve stayed at. It’s incredibly well equipped with linens, towels, bath products, cooking equipment, and basic spices. The location is smack in the middle of Jim Thorpe and a pretty good spot if you’re trying to explore the Poconos area. The host was very proactive about their communication and instructions were very clear throughout. We had no issues with the AC at any point (which was a life saver in mid-July) and the 3rd floor offered a great space for us to chill. I would definitely stay here again if I needed to come back to the area!
