Mountain Laurel Resort

Mountain Laurel Resort has been acquired by Holiday Keepers and reopened in August 2022. It’s a weekend getaway for outdoor lovers with a spa, horseback riding, 9-hole miniature golf, and a swimming pool. It’s near Jack Frost Ski Resort and Hickory Run State Park. Enjoy a fresh take on American cuisine at the Twelve21 restaurant, named for its elevation of 1,221 feet, or sip drinks while soaking in a breathtaking view at the Mountain View Bar.

It also seems to be a timeshare of some sort. That’s never a good sign.

“Went here with 62 people on a golf trip. Rooms had no hot water, rooms weren’t cleaned, and no new towels were delivered for the three nights we were there. The towels were tiny and like sandpaper. No Working AC in the banquet room. Inadequate staff.

The staff working was doing their best handling check-in, housekeeping, security, and the banquet facilities with 4 people. The building appears to be in overall horrible shape with the owners doing nothing about it . Has the potential to be a great place if managed and upgraded correctly . Most likely we’ll find another facility in the area for our needs . Overall pretty bad facility. Needs a major overhaul. Not worth the money.”
