The Hound Books

The Hound Books opened its doors in October 2022 as Roscoe’s first independent bookstore. It’s a cozy bookstore with great music, free coffee, and a cute dog. Books sold are new and used and include a lovely selection of childrens’ books.

“A great new bookstore for new and used books. About 60% or more of the books are used. They are found in the bookcases on the walls. They are sold at discounts on the list price.

The store has a good selection for its smallish footprint. I’d guess it has 2,000-3,000 titles, but I could be wrong about that.

The used books are quite interesting, worthwhile, and in good selection. You may have experienced used bookstores are havens for boring, obscure, and out-of-date books. That’s not this one! The books are worth checking out and in quite good condition.”
