Mountainhouse Tavern is a divey little country bar settled on the edge of Promised Land State Park. All the amenities: cold beer, mixed drinks, food, pool, darts, a deck, horseshoes, and live music. Popular with locals.

Mountainhouse Tavern makes cheesesteaks, burgers, and wings. Daily specials. They’ve got a smoker and make brisket and pulled pork. Beer to go and good WiFi for campsite people.

“Not being from the area, we just Googled places around with live music and the Mountainhouse Tavern came up with pretty good reviews. When we first pulled up, (I’m not going to lie) I was very skeptical! But, we took a chance anyway and I am so glad we did. The service was great; the people were so nice; and the band was pretty darn good. I guess I’m just all country at heart because I love these types of lil town bars because they are so genuine and down to earth. I would have given it five stars but the band only played until 9:00 pm and I wanted more!”
