This is a very Polish restaurant, with Polish fare and something peculiar to Eastern European places – the most humble surroundings are transformed by the little touches – tablecloths and flowers, in this instance. The formality is accompanied by basic Polish fare.
Sausages and pierogis, with European-style baked goods, of course. Entrees are cutlets and pork shoulder and pork chops and schnitzels. Beef goulash is served with a Hungarian-style pancake. Look for strudels and crumb cakes and fruit cakes and fruit-studded kuchen. Get there on a good day for homemade paczki (donuts).
Also be sure to drop in when Poland plays the World Cup, or for any soccer game involving Poland. Na Zdrowie!
