Glen Run Nature Preserve is a newly opened 182-acre preserve located off of Route 191 in Stroud Township, less than a mile south of Stroudsburg.
It’s got miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, and offers great views of Cherry Valley and Stroudsburg. Sit by the serene mountain top Glen Run Lake, and explore the ruins and site of the historic Churleigh Inn.
Four miles of trails offer (helpfully maintained by Pocono Bike Club along with preserve owner Pocono Heritage Land Trust), a small lake, the remnants of a Victorian mansion, and a forested cliff that provides mile-long views.
A small stream runs through the preserve. Catch and release fishing with an artificial lure is allowed.
Parking is available off Bangor Mountain Road.
