20th Annual Juneteenth Freedom Festival

The 20th Annual Juneteenth Freedom Festival is presented by The Sherman Theater and the African American Network of the Poconos. It will be held in Courthouse Square, Stroudsburg on Saturday, June 18 from 2:30 to 6:30 PM. This free community event commemorates Emancipation Day and celebrates freedom.
Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration in commemoration of the emancipation of enslaved Africans in the USA and the Diaspora.
There will be live music all day, food, vendors, educational fun, and networking opportunities.
Greater Shiloh Church will perform the Opening Ceremony with song and dance.
Live music will be performed throughout the day from 2nd Street Players, The Contact Collective and Rico Anthony – Pump Yuh Flag. Gynesis Radio will provide music between the bands.
Additional entertainment from the 40 Double Dutch Club, Eleve Dance Theater with African and other dance demonstrations, William Abbott, Puppeteer, with his friend, Miss Biddy, and more.
