April 1 is Trout Fishing Time!

April 1 is Trout Fishing Time! Opening day in 2023 is April 1 at 8 am. Fishing hours are 24 hours a day after the 8 am opener on April 1.

The minimum size trout you can keep is 7 inches. In addition to a fishing license, which you can get in a jiffy here, trout anglers 16 and older need a Trout Permit, too. When you apply for your license, make sure to get your Trout Permit!
